DMX Sued For $1 Million For Backing Out of Celebrity Boxing Match Although Coolio has stepped in to replace him in an upcoming celebrity boxing match, set for December, DMX is having troubles with the promoters for backing out.
According to TMZ, Thunder Promotions filed a lawsuit against the rapper last week, claiming fraud.
They want $1 million for their troubles.
X was scheduled to fight in a boxing match on December 12th in Birmingham, Alabama, but according to the promotions company, he backed out because they refused to fix the fight.
Following the news, the rapper's manager Nakia Walker told TMZ that the rapper really does want to fight, fixed or not, but she's forcing his hand because "he's a hip hop artist, not a boxer."
DMX had not commented on the lawsuit at press time.
